At Leonhardt Lifestyle Medicine, my goal is to provide evidence-based personalized Lifestyle Medicine consulting, health coaching services, and classes that incorporate the 6 pillars of Lifestyle Medicine; Whole Food Plant-Based Eating Pattern, Regular Physical Activity, Stress Management, Restorative Sleep, Avoidance of Risky Substances and Positive Social Connections to help my clients eliminate negative symptoms of chronic conditions, reduce the need for medications and achieve optimal health and wellness.
With nearly three decades of experience in the healthcare industry, I have witnessed firsthand the impact of lifestyle factors on the prevalence of chronic diseases. Working as a Nurse I encounter patients on a daily basis who struggle with chronic diseases and obesity, many of which can be prevented and even reversed through lifestyle changes. Did you know that up to 80% of premature heart disease, stroke, and diabetes causes can be averted? Our genetic dispositions do not solely determine our health outcomes; the choices we make surrounding our nutrition and other lifestyle factors have a profound impact.
As a LIfestyle Medicine Practioner and Health Coach, I use a client-centered approach, empowering individuals to uncover their motivation for change, prioritize and take ownership of their health. I focus on preventative healthcare and self-care, emphasizing the importance of personal choices and behaviors in determining overall well-being.
Unhealthy behavior has been linked to poor health outcomes, but positive behavior changes can reverse these trends and promote wellness. This philosophy lies at the foundation of disease prevention and health promotion.
